Scrabble Mountain, a beautiful view in all directions. We will stop for snacks (make sure you bring some) at the memorial marker for Aldie LeCraw, who loved this area. He was a “jack of all trades” and operated a local hunt camp. Hikers should bring a coin to leave at the memorial because local folk lore says that will ensure that you will come back here one day. Our hike will start gently along the Martin Trail (1k) which will give us time to share stories about the Wildlands. The trail heads into the woods from the road, traces the edge of a beaver meadow to fairy falls and into the heart of the park. This is an intermediate/challenging hike, mostly on bush trail with uneven terrain that includes water crossings and some inclines. Please be prepared for muddy spots, the last seasonal bugs and lovely fall woodlands.

Sturdy Shoes (hiking boats), water, snacks/lunch and hiking poles (if you have them). The hike timing will depend on the hikers, please be prepare to hike at 2.5km/hour a moderate pace. No dogs please.
