This is an epic 6 hour, 14 km hike from the Log Chute on Big Hawk Rd to the Coopers Lookout. Hikers will park in the James Coopers Lookout parking lot and will car pool up to the Log Chute. We will hike the Crest of Kennisis, join the Circuit of 5 Viewpoints trail until it connects with the Ridge Trail to the end of the trail at the James Coopers Lookout. This is an extremely difficult hike with numerous steep hills, rugged and rocky terrain and many natural obstacles.

LEADER BIO: Irv has always been an avid hiker and cyclist and is a member of both the Haliburton Trekkers hiking club and the Ganaraska hiking club. Irv is also a proud member of Rotary Club of Haliburton and is the administrator of Rotary’s Good Food Box, a monthly fresh produce food bank. Irv is a writer who is occasionally published in the Haliburton Echo and County Life newspapers. He was born and bred in Toronto and currently lives in the Haliburton Highlands with his wife of 45 years.
