Join Rick for a ramble through the varied habitats of Barnum Creek Nature Reserve. This hike will give participants an opportunity to learn about the human and natural history of this property and the plants and wildlife it supports. Interesting nature nuggets can be found all along the Heritage Trail, Waterfall Way and the Ridge Trail. Sections of the trail are flat and easy to hike with some steep sections, especially on the Ridge Trail.

RATING: Intermediate: some hills, access/parking more remote

Hardy footwear is advised. Walking poles can be helpful on rugged or steeper sections of the trail. A small daypack with snack, water and raingear is recommended. Hiker must be comfortable walking uphill on a moderate to steep grade for up to 10 minutes.
