Please be prompt for arrival – tour starts with a geologic history review and is the foundation for the tour. We suggest bringing water and a snack or two – granola bar and fruit, for example, due to the duration and the tour heading into the lunch hour. Also, we encourage folks to use walking sticks to assist with hill climbs. We have some available for use, if interested. Good hiking footwear is essential. Please no dogs.

LEADER BIO:  Mark Bramham and his wife, Sandra are owners of Greenmantle Farm and offer guided mineral tours.  They also have a maple syrup operation called Esson Creek Maple.  They are retired educators with a passion for the land. The minerals are located on their property. Mark is a certified hike leader (Hike Ontario).

DIRECTIONS: From Haliburton take Hwy 118 east approximately 19km to the Essonville Line (County Rd . 4). Turn left and continue for approximately 5km. to Greenmantle Farm.
